D7 - The end of the world

07/10/2016 - Journey : Mandji --> Omboué

Omboué ? It's far away ! We leave early : at 9 AM. After some fishing points few interesting about Aphyo (a little bit more for Plataplo), we arrive without too many difficulties at the oil camps. And there, the problems begin. There are tracks everywhere. After some turn around, we arrive at a CBG barrier (racket). Discussions, explanations, negotiations and baksheesh allow us to pass in the camp (under escort) to join the road of Omboué. But there are always so many tracks, and we find ourselves rather fast on some sand, where we are close to leaving it the car. The savanna in "dry" season offer its prize(lot) of surprises, and pools of mud are many in this zone.
We arrive finally at Omboué after approximately 150 km, in 9 hours of road. We find a small motel and a restaurant in town where we watch France losing in finale but the wild boar was good !
I make water changes while Thibault and Laurent leave "night club" close by. The road did not totally finish them apparently. Me... yes ! Good night !
